This is one of my outdoor projects that I have had for a couple of years. I used most of the wood from the Catio leftovers. It was a useful tool for me. I had never participated in a carpentry class, but I did the framing downstairs before adding the drywall. I was familiar with the framing but not with wood detail. I was a little bit nervous when I borrowed an air compressor from one of my clients, but I became more comfortable after playing with it on the Cat Condo. I then bought one myself. It is indeed a nice tool and it saves me time and hard labor. When I put the wood together with the air compressor, drill, and a cordless screw bit driver, I was able to see how each tool worked individually and they worked together to create a finished product.

The air compressor provided the power to drive the nails into the wood, the drill helped to create holes for the screws, and the cordless screw bit driver made it easy to screw the pieces of wood together. By using these tools, I was able to learn about how they work and how they can be used to create different things. I also learned that it is important to be patient and to take your time when working on a project. I am proud of what I accomplished and I am glad that I was able to use my skills to create something that I can enjoy for years to come.

The Cat Condo is full of imperfections, but that’s what makes it special. It’s not perfect, but it’s perfect for the cats. The Herd doesn’t care what it looks like, they just care that it’s a place where they can relax and be themselves. And that’s what’s important.

It is uncertain whether or not I will continue to work on the condo. We need to take the time to play around with it and see how it works. This will also give me time to see how the cats like it. It is important to let the cats explore the condo and see how they react to it before making any decisions about whether or not to make more adjustments.

The project started with a 3 x 4 foot pallet. The bottom was turned over and a piece of plywood and wheels were added. Then, the framing was started and the rest of the materials were added. The Cat Condo can be used to hang up or store gardening tools, which is very handy. It can also be moved to another area of the patio in the summer.

I recently found some round split rails from Home Resource and added them on the bottom front. They are situated in front of the catnip plants. The Herd has not checked them out yet.

I think two more 2×4 studs added next to the vertical studs would be better. I ran out of furry strips to cover the Cave. Winter is coming and it will have to wait until next spring.

The Cat Condo is a great way to keep your cat entertained and out of trouble. It provides a safe and comfortable place for your cat to relax and nap, and it also gives them a place to climb and explore. The Cat Condo is easy to build and can be customized to fit your needs. You can add different levels, platforms, and toys to make it more interesting for your cat. You can also paint it or decorate it to match your patio décor.

The redwood roof was not to my satisfaction. The boards warped a little bit, and the roofing screws often pulled the 1×6 redwood away from the plywood and its framing. It wasn’t enough that I drilled deep enough for the screws to go in nicely. I used an electric stapler to staple the waterproof carpet on the roof. The cats like the carpet because it is soft and warm.

I put in floor padding leftovers, a carpet piece and an old packing blanket in the cave to make it more comfortable.

If I was to build another one, I would add one piece of plywood before adding the 4x4s.

I will certainly give an update next spring. I am looking forward to seeing how the project progresses over the winter and how the snow will affect the Condo. I am also curious to see how the plants and animals will adapt to the changing conditions. I will be sure to share my observations with you when I have a chance.
